There are three things you should focus on if you are currently running your business online. At DragonTech, we usually end up touching on many of these areas with customers, so today we thought we’d share a bit of information to make things easier!
Your three focuses should be:
3: Advertising With Facebook (Local Businesses ONLY)
Running a business is a hard and complicated ordeal, and time management and organisation are the two things that will help you more than anything else. You will also want to maximise profits, whilst having minimal expenses. In this short yet handy guide I will go through everything you should ever need to effectively run your business in the most cost effective way you can.
Facebook: A Facebook account is great for many reasons. Not only is Facebook one of the best marketing tools in the world, allowing you to reach audiences anywhere you need to, it also allows you many different ways of targeting your audience based on past behaviour. Having run Facebook successfully for a plethora of different businesses, I can honestly say that Facebook advertising is some of the best and most cost effective advertising of all time.
Personally, I don’t believe in Twitter (Overly hyped, low marketing potential) Instagram (Success only in specialised areas, even then hard to gauge) and LinkedIn (robotic to the point where it could be Asimov’s finest work.)
If you are running with multiple social media platforms, and you might as well get them all, you can control them all with a simple management tool. I recommend Content Studio. It will be the best $69.00 you ever spend, and to this day it’s the best marketing tool I have ever bought. It will allow you to post to multiple platforms at once, easily without having to be logged in, schedule posts, set up post rotations that can be run forever with evergreen content. As a basic package it is all you will ever need as a business owner, unless you’re owning a marketing agency or extended business model in which case you will be able to get expansions.

There are two ways most businesses go with this. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort, WordPress will give great results. If you want something that’s easy to make and fast, Wix is an easy solution. Both have varying levels of complexity. Websites are a little more complicated than social media setups, so I will contain more information on them in their specific guides. Advertising with Facebook (Local Businesses Only)
As I mentioned before, Facebook is one of the best advertising tools of all time. For ANY business, all you have to do when it comes to advertising with Facebook is to have a monthly ad spend. I like 60 to 90 dollars, and I generally get a good ROI out of that for any client I work with. All you need to do is to promote your page with the aim of getting likes.
Don’t promote your website or boost posts. Likes on your page are all you need. Likes are people who generally see your business as something they find interesting. If you post good content, they are more likely to interact with it. Pictures work well for restaurants, even if the quality isn’t good. I prefer to never edit pictures, as this will result in bad reviews. Stock Photos are the bane of my existence. So many restaurant owners want me to use them. Honesty is the best policy with advertising.
Advertising won’t work amazingly for every single business, and sometimes it can take a little while to figure out your target audience, and some forms of advertising are much better than others for different businesses. Facebook just has an incredibly wide audience who are on it 24/7, which gives you a great chance to get your ads seen. We are always happy to help with anything you need and will always respond as quickly as possible when you contact us!
